Is Sonos Still The King Of Wireless Home Audio?
Simon Cohen for The Digital Circuit: If you’re still using your phone’s crummy internal speaker when listening to music aloud, it’s high time for an upgrade. We’re not talking portable Bluetooth speakers here – though some do a decent job – we’re talking about a true whole-home wireless system that can replace or augment your existing stereo, while giving you access to your iTunes collection and whichever streaming service has become your go-to for playlists. These systems have a few things in common: They can be placed anywhere in your home that you have a power outlet, you control them from a tablet, phone, or PC via a free app, and you can decide if you want the same music playing in every room, or a different source in each (or something in-between).
