Revamped AVS Forum Classifieds Open for Business

Rochester, NY, January 28, 2008 ” AVS Forum today announced the newly redesigned full service classifieds section of their site.

The new AVS Forum Classifieds offer a targeted outlet for members to buy and sell audio/video equipment, software, and services. In addition consumer electronic dealers and manufacturers can offer member only specials or PowerBuys and recruit new employees with industry job postings. These listings are easier to find than ever before with prominent links featured throughout the site.

“It™s great to have a place for the dealers to list their specials and PowerBuys on AVS. Seeing as we do not allow for ads within threads on the site, we have looked for a solution for some time. We feel this is a great fit for everyone,” explained Alan Gouger, owner, of AVS Forum.

The Classifieds section is divided into 48 distinct categories ranging from Audio Gear to Display Devices to Video Source Items. These can be quickly navigated to from the home page or from within a related discussion forum, giving the most interested visitors easy access to the ads. Images of Featured ads and the newest postings also appear on the homepage.

Unlike traditional auction sites, the AVS Forum Classifieds does not charge any closing fees, only a nominal listing cost of $1 -$5 based on the type of ad. All transaction details are handled between members with Direct Payments made via PayPal.

David Bott, founder of AVS Forum stated, “AVS Forum has always been about letting enthusiasts connect; whether that is by exchanging advice about home theater or the A/V gear they love. Based on member feedback and support, we feel we have added what the members have been looking for on AVS for some time.”
