ATEN to Offer HDBaseT Certification Training and Showcase Today's Hottest Pro AV Solutions
With education partner AVIXA, the Almo Professional A/V E4 tour offers AV professionals the experience of a full day of educational sessions worth AVIXA CTS Renewal Units (RUs), as well as a showroom filled with exclusive access to the newest AV products and services. The fall E4 events will each feature more than a dozen sessions and speakers, 40+ exhibitors, multiple workshops, local celebrities, and limitless networking and career-advancing moments.
ATEN will provide static demos of its award-winning VE8950 - 4K HDMI over IP Extender. Engineered to meet the demands of large scale, multi-display, 4K signal transmission, the solution is easy to set up and operate. It is ideal for a wide range of environments, such as trade shows, airports, university campuses, conference centers, and shopping centers, and delivers visually lossless 4K AV signals with low latency over long distance via a local network of standard gigabit network switch.
Additionally, ATEN will provide static demos of its 4K HDMI over IP Transmitter, HDMI Matrix Switch with Scaler, control system and HDMI HDBaseT extender solutions, and video matrix, extender, splitter, and switch and converter with 4K solutions.
Attendees will also be privy to a sneak peek of ATEN's soon-to-be announced presentation matrix switch, with Seamless Switch™ technology and multi-format inputs and outputs - ideal for any meeting room environment.
A premier manufacturer of HDBaseT products, ATEN will offer HDBaseT Certification at both E4 events. A connectivity standard for whole-home and commercial distribution of uncompressed HD multimedia content, the HDBaseT Certification course is targeted at both the beginner and expert installer, and includes technology principles, installation dos and don'ts, best practices, product certification and interoperability, and a hands-on tutorial and demonstration. The course's instructor is YT Liang, an ATEN Technology, Inc. product manager.
"Our HDBaseT training course helps educate attending integrators about best practices when building reliable HDBaseT installations successfully. Being able to more easily determine the interoperability of different HDBaseT products will help avoid additional costs and project delays due to incompatibility. Course attendees can expect to obtain a deeper understanding about HDBaseT technology, its application, and hands-on practice of each of the 5Play™ (USB, AV, Ethernet, control, and power)," said Liang.
"Boston is always one of our most exciting and productive stops on the E4 tour as there is so much energy and strong participation from resellers and integrators in this region," explained Melody Craigmyle, vice president of marketing & communications, Almo Corporation. "We are pleased to add Jim Nista, senior director of content creation services to our education speaking team following Almo's recent acquisition of Insteo. And we look forward to having local NFL celebrity Deion Branch in the house inspiring our attendees. 2018 continues to be Almo Pro A/V's year to excel. The E4 program is one of many ways we are aligning with our manufacturers and channel partners on this one-way path toward success, growth and expansion."

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
