STAMPEDE BRINGS ITS 2017 BIG BOOK OF AV TOUR & CONFERENCE SERIES TO DALLAS, TEXAS ON MAY 16TH & 17TH

Unlike previous stops, the Big Book of AV Tour will spend two days in Dallas with a special Yamaha CIS audio integration class and a series of presentations worth 3RU credits.

AMHERST, NEW YORK, May 2, 2017 — Folks have always said that Texas is a mighty big state, too big in fact to cover in one day. Tipping a Texas-sized hat to the size of the territory, Stampede, the world's leading distributor of value added ProAV products and system solutions, today announced that it was bringing its 2017 Big Book of AV Tour & Conference Series to Dallas for a two-day visit on May 16 and May 17, 2017 at the Hilton Arlington Hotel. Registration is now open here.

"Resellers and end user customers from throughout Texas and adjoining states have asked us for a longer stay in order to allow them to spend quality time with our exhibiting manufacturers. We're responding to this request with a two-day event filled with exhibits, technical sessions, product presentations, and networking opportunities," emphasized Stampede President & COO Kevin Kelly. "We want to make sure that everyone has the time they need to learn what they need to know in order to enhance their 2017 business growth strategies."
In addition to these opportunities, Kelly said, the two-day event will also provide attendees with the unique opportunity to earn 3RU credits on the second day of the stop. Yamaha CIS' experts in audio will teach a hands-on touch control design class, as well as an overview of Yamaha control audio systems and the CIS series-MTX/MRX editor software.
The first day of the Dallas event will begin with a dealer panel at 9:00 AM followed by a Tech Showcase Exhibit at 10:00 AM. At 10:30 AM, the presentations will commence, covering a variety of topics including: "Overview of the Drone/UAS Industry and Business Potential" by Rob Luther, Drone Video Systems; "Drone Video Systems: A New AV Category for a New Age of Opportunities" by Rob Luther, Drone Video Systems; "Cut the Cords: BYOD and Wireless Presentation from Any Device" by Ed Pham, Regional Sales manager, WePresent; and "FIREFX - Basics of Securing IoT Networks for the Home and Business" for .75 CEUs.
Yamaha CIS will spend the second day of the conference with "Networking Fundamentals for Audio Integrators", a training and audio system product overview, from 8:30am to 5:00pm. The session, which is worth three RU credits, will be broken into three segments: CIS SERIES-MTX/MRX EDITOR SOFTWARE (1 RU), CIS PROVISIONAIRE TOUCH CONTROL DESIGN CLASS (1RU) and the COMMERCIAL AUDIO SYSTEMS OVERVIEW (1RU). The training and product overview will be presented by two of Yamaha's System Design Engineers, Steve Seable and Joe Rimstidt, who together share over 40 years experience in the professional audio industry. Attendees should bring a laptop or tablet to fully participate in the interactive training session, which will focus on audio control customization with the Provisionaire Touch software and the extensive network of Yamaha CIS products.
Showcasing the latest in the Pro AV market such as digital signage, audio, projection, and signal distribution, the daylong conference provides attendees with technology updates, exclusive insights, and keynote sessions from leading names in the industry, as well as training forums for total business needs. Current participating tour exhibitors include AEE, Atlona, AVTEQ, Cassio, Chief, Christie, DJI, Display Ten, Epson, Hitachi, HuddleCamHD, JELCO, Ken-A-Vision, LG, Luidia, Lumens, Luxel, Mustang, NEC, Oklahoma Sound, Optoma, Peerless AV, Philips, Planar, Premier Mounts, Ricoh, Samsung, Sharp, Stewart Filmscreen, TAP it, TSI Touch, Unmanned Vehicle University, Vidyo, WePresent WiPG, WilsonPro, and xFOLD.
