InfoComm - Gefen Debuts New Line of 4K 600 MHz Solutions at InfoComm 2016

The new EXT-UHD600 line consists of three new splitters, a 4x1 switcher and 4x4 matrix.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, June 9, 2016 - Continuing its commitment to provide commercial integrators with state-of-the-art AV distribution solutions, Gefen, the A/V signal management unit of Core Brands, a Nortek company (NASDAQ: NTK), today introduced its new EXT-UHD600 line of 4K 600 MHz products, featuring three splitters, a 4x1 switcher and a 4x4 matrix. This HDCP 2.2-compliant product family takes the HDMI 2.0 platform to its highest level by enabling AV distribution at full specification of 4K 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sub-sampling along with HDR (High Dynamic Range) support. The introduction was made at InfoComm 2016 in the Las Vegas Convention Center at Gefen Booth #C5430.

"With this introduction, Gefen continues to set new benchmarks for commercial A/V signal distribution, as we have done since the company's inception," said Jason Fitzgerald, Core Brands' Gefen Product Manager. "This new line of 4K 600 MHz products extends our ability to provide integrators with AV distribution solutions for any sized job. We're excited to offer our dealers more capable and versatile product options than ever before."

HDR delivers greater image contrast, vastly improving color depth between light and dark areas of a video image. 4K Ultra HD and 4K Cinema (up to 4096x2160), LPCM7.1, and HBR digital audio are also supported.

The new EXT-UHD600 series splitters support multiple layers of cascading in large video distribution and signage applications. "These splitters are ideal for large AV distribution systems that require daisy-chaining multiple units to drive hundreds of displays without loss of picture quality," Fitzgerald added.
The switcher and the matrix feature flexible control options including the front-panel, IR, RS-232, Telnet/UDP, and Gefen's intuitive web server interface. The Gefen Syner-G™ software simplifies configuration and allows advanced EDID management for the splitters, switcher, and matrix products. Additionally, all units accommodate Gefen locking HDMI cables for secure connections.

"With the world's top integrators in one location, InfoComm 2016 is the perfect setting to launch this new product family," Fitzgerald stated. For more information about the new EXT-UHD600 product line, visit Gefen at InfoComm 2016, booth #C5430 or

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
