Kickstarter - Knocki Reaches Crowdfunding Landmark Of $500K In Just One Week

Kickstarter Campaign Catapults Houston-Based Smart Home Device to Success

HOUSTON, May 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Knocki, a small Wi-Fi-enabled device that transforms walls, tables, doors and other common surfaces into remote controls, has raised nearly half a million dollars in just one short week on Kickstarter. The campaign exceeded its $35,000 goal in just 24 hours.

Co-founders and serial entrepreneurs Jake Boshernitzan and Ohad Nezer began Knocki in 2015 in Houston with the goal of creating the first technology in the world to instantly transform any regular surface into a remote. Boshernitzan and Nezer made the decision to launch on a crowdfunding platform in order to keep manufacturing in the U.S. for the first round of products.

Knocki gives users the simplest and most accessible way to control lights, smart devices like Nest, IFTTT, Phillips Hue, and more. Knocki is meant for everyone, but is also useful for individuals with mobility or vision impairments, allowing them to trigger actions even if they can't physically reach or visually locate a button, switch, or phone.

"The response we've seen to our product in the last week is unbelievable," said Boshernitzan, who is also Knocki's Chief Executive Officer. "We are elated to see the final results of the crowdfunding campaign, and even more so to start shipping at the end of the year."

Pre-orders are available at special early bird pricing on the Kickstarter page. Orders placed now are set to ship at the end of the year, just in time for the holidays. To learn more, visit
