New Accessory Makes Amazon Echo Portable

The award-winning Echo has successfully integrated smart home and digital assistant capabilities with high-performance audio, but until now has lacked the flexibility that comes with having a built-in battery.

SEATTLE, May 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Mission Cables announces the release of Battery Base™ for Amazon Echo. The award-winning Echo has successfully integrated smart home and digital assistant capabilities with high-performance audio, but until now has lacked the flexibility that comes with having a built-in battery. Battery Base, which seamlessly adds portability to Echo, unleashes a wide range of new applications for the best-selling device. For the first time, customers can use Echo anywhere within range of a WiFi router or a Bluetooth-enabled phone.

Easy to set up, Echo conveniently slips into Battery Base and offers up to six hours of audio playback. The patent-pending product is powered by the Amazon Echo adapter, which users unplug when ready to make Echo portable. Plus, Echo works continuously during transitions between being powered by the power adapter and Battery Base.

Brian Wengreen, President of Mission Cables, states, "Battery Base opens up a whole new set of use scenarios for Echo. Whether it is using Echo in the garage or garden, at the pool or on the patio, we think Echo enthusiasts will appreciate the ability to untether Echo from the wall and take it anywhere."

Battery Base is available for $49.99 at Amazon.com.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
