AverLogic Technologies and Redpine Signals launched the complete high performance HD video WiFi streaming solutions created with AverLogic's H.264 HD A/V Codec SoC and Redpine's Wi-Fi Module. The reference designs utilize the high capacity 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi bands for outstanding user experience in applications such as car cameras, video door bells, home security systems, baby monitors, medical imaging, conferencing equipment, and video displays among others.

Every year in the United States, approximately 11% of environment-related car crashes are due to view obstructions. The HD Video WiFi Streaming Solution aims to lower the amount of accidents on the road by giving drivers a clearer picture of the environment around their vehicles and eliminate blind spots.

The solution enables drivers to set up a video surveillance system that works for both personal and industrial cars. Drivers attach cameras to various locations on the outside of the car and connect them to the receiving unit for selective or multi-window camera display. Through the high resolution video and robust wireless capabilities, drivers can watch what is happening outside their cars on their dash board control panel, all while sitting in their driving seats.

The surveillance system provides an elegant solution to increase driver visibility and decrease the number of car accidents. It also helps bus drivers monitor the situation inside their vehicles. By putting cameras in the back of the bus, drivers can monitor the safety of their passengers or cargo from the front seat.

The solution also provides flexible and powerful streaming solutions for a wide variety of other devices, including industrial and robotic cameras, Wireless Security Cameras, car/traffic cameras and recorders, medical and pipe scoping, video door phones, video conferencing AV Senders, and sport/toy applications. All devices can also support WiFi smartphone viewing at APP applications.

The easy-to-install solution features 2.4G/5G WiFi HD 720p AV streaming up to 20 meters by embedded on-board antenna, and supported external antenna to extended transmission range. It also improves wireless technology by using 2.4G and 5G dual band WiFi with high throughput and less air interference in the 5G band. It requires no operating system and uses embedded H.264 CODEC for SD card recording and playback function. The final product will provide drivers with the flexibility, speed, and support required for an automobile's video surveillance system.
