FortrezZ Expands Smart Water Flow Monitoring System Powered by Z-Wave

FortrezZ, has introduced a new Flow Meter Interface Module for Water Flow Monitoring applications.

With the flow meter plumbed on the water main and learned into a Z-Wave compatible network, users will be able to get consumption data remotely much in the same way they are getting it for electrical usage. For property owners concerned about their water usage, this tool will give them detailed information about when they are using the most water and how much exactly. Paired with FortrezZ Water Shut-Off Valve, users will be able to create automation scenarios to turn on and off their water supply according to usage parameters.


This new integration will fill a much-needed gap in smart metering technology that consumers have been asking for, especially in the drought-ridden west. By informing consumers of their water consumption, behavior will change towards conservation and more efficient uses of their watering needs.

Units were on display at the FortrezZ booth at the Z-Wave Alliance Pavilion at the CEDIA 2015 show in Dallas, TX.
