KIRKLAND, Wash.--Time is running out to submit for the Bluetooth Breakthrough Awards, the official awards program held by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The Bluetooth Breakthrough Awards celebrates the best Bluetooth enabled products and applications available on the market today, and recognizes innovative prototypes coming soon. All entries are due by 2 November 2015. The program has four categories: Product, Application, Prototype, and Student-led Projects.

"Previous Breakthrough Awards winners have highlighted the remarkable Bluetooth innovation coming to market in everything from smart home and retail, to health and wellness, wearables and consumer electronics. This year, we are seeing even more exciting entries that confirm the incredible potential for Bluetooth technology to change the way we live, work and play," said Errett Kroeter, vice president of marketing, Bluetooth SIG.
