Kwikset Partners with Design Expert Sabrina Soto to Help Homeowners Upgrade Their Homes for Less

New contemporary door levers from Kwikset allow homeowners to give their homes a more modern feel for less than $50.00

LOS ANGELES (August 24, 2015)

As modern home design continues to gain traction among homeowners, Kwikset expands its contemporary collection with three new levers, Lisbon, Montreal and Sydney. With their unique, modern designs, the levers are the perfect accent to any home.

Lisbon and Montreal feature a square design with curved accents, while Sydney's round design is accentuated with soft lines. All three levers feature simple but unique details that can be mixed and matched to complement homeowners' individual style.

To show homeowners how easy and affordable it can be to update their home, Kwikset partnered with nationally recognized design expert and HGTV hostess Sabrina Soto.

"Upgrading your home's aesthetic can be as simple as sprucing up paint and changing out hardware," says Sabrina Soto. "You can do it all yourself. I have helped homeowners across the country add new life to their homes and on very tight budgets. The designs from Kwikset make my job easy. They add unique sophistication to homes and are very affordable."

Homeowners can purchase the new levers beginning in September 2015, while the current Kwikset contemporary levers, Halifax and Milan, are available for purchase now. Interior privacy levers include ADA-compliant push buttons and keyed entry levers feature Kwikset SmartKey technology. All levers are available in Venetian Bronze, Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome, Satin Chrome and Iron Black finishes with a suggested retail price of $29.97-$49.97.

Universal Robots - Collaborative Robot Solutions

Universal Robots is a result of many years of intensive research in robotics. The product portfolio includes the UR5 and UR10 models that handle payloads of up to 11.3 lbs. and 22.6 lbs. respectively. The six-axis robot arms weigh as little as 40 lbs. with reach capabilities of up to 51 inches. Repeatability of +/- .004" allows quick precision handling of even microscopically small parts. After initial risk assessment, the collaborative Universal Robots can operate alongside human operators without cumbersome and expensive safety guarding. This makes it simple and easy to move the light-weight robot around the production, addressing the needs of agile manufacturing even within small- and medium sized companies regarding automation as costly and complex. If the robots come into contact with an employee, the built-in force control limits the forces at contact, adhering to the current safety requirements on force and torque limitations. Intuitively programmed by non-technical users, the robot arms go from box to operation in less than an hour, and typically pay for themselves within 195 days. Since the first UR robot entered the market in 2009, the company has seen substantial growth with the robotic arms now being sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
