Keynote address and educational session to discuss open standards and AV networking protocols

BEAVERTON, Oregon -- Oct. 15, 2014 -- Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, has announced that the company will be headlining two speaking engagements at this year's Rocky Mountain Audio Video Expo (AVX 2014). Titled "The Role of Open Standards in Professional Audio Video," the event's keynote address will be delivered by Biamp(R) executive vice president of operations, Matt Czyzewski, on Oct. 29 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Presented by Brent Stark, Biamp's Southwest regional manager in North America, a second session titled "Networking Protocols AVB, CobraNet & Dant: Together at Last" will take place earlier in the day on Oct. 29 from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m. Both events will be held at the Crowne Plaza Dia in Denver.

Representing both Biamp Systems and the AVnu Alliance, Czyzewski's keynote address will include a general discussion on the role of open standards in today's evolving AV industry and the role of AVB within the current protocols available. In his session, Stark will focus on how the big three digital audio protocols are operating on enterprise AV networks. The presentation will look into the applications, terminology, and different topographies of enterprise AV networking.

"As AVB continues to grow within our marketplace, manufacturers and installers are looking to understand the benefits and potential applications for this technology," said Czyzewski. "I look forward to speaking about the current trends within the marketplace and identifying the talking points on open standards and AVB."

"By taking a close look into today's leading protocols, attendees will gain a clearer understanding into how to leverage AVB, CobraNet, and Dant effectively within specific AV settings," added Stark. "This will include using AVB for content ingest within broadcast applications, explaining how end users using legacy CobraNet systems can easily upgrade to faster digital transport processes, and how to satisfy Dant requirements for digital audio."

Based in Beaverton, Czyzewski leads the engineering, manufacturing, and education and training departments for Biamp. He has also led and managed the product concept and development phase for award-winning solutions such as the company's Audia(R) and Nexia(R) DSP product lines. Based in Phoenix, Stark has completed over 100 hours of presentations for IT and AV engineers in the Southwest. His most recent engagement was at the Denver IT Summit where more than 100 IT professionals learned about the impact of AV on networks and how VoIP is changing the way companies conduct virtual conferencing.
