MyClareHome Gives Users Unprecedented Control Over Automation Experience

Suite extends Clare's "Users in Control" promise far beyond the personalized interface

SARASOTA, Fla. September 8, 2014 - Clare Controls today introduced MyClareHome, a suite of system

administration features that gives users powerful new controls over many aspects of the home automation
experience. The company was already known for the control its Clare Controls App gave users over the automation interface, allowing them to create personal dashboards based on their favorite actions. The new features extend their power far beyond the interface, giving users substantial voice in the behavior, performance, and configuration of their ClareHome automation solutions.

With the new tools, a user of the company's ClareHome automation solution can:

• Purchase new devices (i.e., additional components to extend their ClareVue automated lighting system) via its built-in B2C portal, and indicate - without leaving the application - if and when they want their Clare technology integrator to install the parts, or if they intend to do it themselves.

• Set schedules for single- and multi-application events for systems under ClareHome's control, including lighting, shades, climate, security, entertainment, and more.

• Modify existing - or even create new - one-touch routines for their systems via easy-to-use, plain language menus. Custom routines add convenience by initiating various application actions based on selectable user or system prompts.

• Manage interface devices (iPads, iPhones, Android phones) connected to their ClareHome systems, allowing them to add a houseguest's iPad during their visit and then remove it from the system after their departure.

…all from the convenience of their mobile UI devices. No other full-featured product gives users this level of control over the automation experience.

Critically, Clare's integration partners maintain complete visibility and access to all user modifications through a powerful API that synchs home project configuration data to Clare's cloud-based configuration tool. If needed or requested, a dealer can always reach the project configuration file to manage or maintain the customer's system.

"MyClareHome is a direct response to the exploding mainstream home automation market," explained Clare VP of Marketing Brigitte McCarthy. "These are well-informed customers who want luxury performance, affordable pricing, and some DIY features, like the ability to make simple system changes without a service call. These are exactly the same values we designed into the Clare Controls Builder Program," she concluded, "and we firmly believe they are
responsible for the growing success it is achieving among mainstream homebuilders."

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
