Cooperation between Paradox Engineering and Philips Lighting started with the realization and implementation of a pilot project with remote management and monitoring of public services in San Francisco, CA (USA). Endorsed by the San Francisco Public Utility Commission, this project prepares the implementation of a secured wireless communication network for remote monitoring and control of different applications such as street lighting, electric vehicle charging stations, smart electricity meters and traffic signals. In this pilot project, Paradox Engineering installed its innovative multifunctional and bidirectional 6LoWPAN/IPv6 wireless full mesh narrowband / broadband communication network. Philips Lighting provided Philips Lumec RoadStar LED street lights.
After full implementation of a lighting infrastructure, the second phase of this pilot in San Francisco covers the integration of all other applications. Paradox Engineering provides the overall infrastructure design, engineering and delivery, including the technology and expertise to streamline the implementation of the PE.AMI IPv6 wireless full mesh network and all components.
