Hudson, OH March 26, 2013

One of the most difficult assignments for any Audio-Video System Installer or integrator is the task of integrating an array of video sources and displays with multiple formats consisting of both analog and digital signals. Because it is not uncommon for newer equipment to be introduced into an environment where older equipment is not at the products end of life many unique and interesting solutions are often employed. In an effort to reduce rack clutter and complexity, KVMSwitchTech has introduced their Multi Video Matrix Switch product line. These new Video Matrix Switches allow an administrator to build a custom, flexible Matrix solution based on specific needs with hot-swappable input and output cards. Video input and output cards are available for HDMI, DVI, VGA, 3G-SDI, HDBaseT, and Fiber Optic. The controlling options include front panel push buttons, RS232, Infra red (IR) and TCP/IP via Ethernet Port.

KVMSwitchTech's Multi Video Matrix Switches allow the various formats to be used by converting between analog and digital in hardware. Because they use the hot-swappable cards, they can also be configured in any special configuration based on user needs ranging from a 4x4 HDMI Matrix Switch to 64x64 Video Matrix. This allows for such uncommon configurations as a 32x32 Video Matrix Switch where the sources could be 4 3G-SDI inputs, 8 DVI inputs, 8 VGA inputs and 4 HDMI inputs all going out to 16 HDMI displays where 8 of the displays could be connected over longer distances with HDBaseT. Integrators who are uncertain of their specific configuration needs can take advantage of KVMSwitchTech's excellent technical support. Knowledgeable representatives are available to help design and configure unique solutions based on the types of equipment to be used. The advantage of using these Multi Video routers is that you can go with a basic 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switch to a fully populated 64x64 Video Matrix Router.
