Flip And Rotate Images on an LCD Display with Digital View's New 1010-FLIP Solution

Digital View Releases 1010-FLIP Board For Rotating Images On LCD Displays

Morgan Hill, CA October 07, 2012

Digital View have announced the release of a new stand-alone flip and rotate board for changing the orientation of the image on an LCD display. The 1010-FLIP board sits between the LCD driver and the LCD display. It provides the user flexibility to either flip the picture horizontally or vertically by 180 degrees, or to rotate it by 180 degrees.

Designed for monitor builders and display integrators looking to create head-up displays, auto-prompting devices or other reverse projected images; the board can also be used to switch a 12 o'clock viewing angle to a 6 o'clock viewing angle for ceiling or portrait mounting.

The 1010-FLIP board takes in the LVDS signal from the LCD driver board and outputs a re-configured LVDS signal directly to the display. It is designed to work off-the-shelf with any of the products from the Digital View family of LCD interface controllers, but can also be adapted to work with other standard LVDS driver solutions.

Digital View supplies a full range of LCD controller solutions, covering resolutions upto 2560 x 1600 and inputs from standard composite to dual digital 3G HD-SDI. The range has built-in support for more than 800 LCD panels from all the major manufacturers, and Digital View offers a wide range of LVDS panel cables, backlight cables, remote display monitoring solutions and related accessories.

The FLIP1010 has an MTBF rating in excess of 200,000 hours and is covered by a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.. For more information visit http://www.digitalview.com/products/1010-flip or contact your local Digital View sales office.

Universal Robots Add a Sense of Touch in New e-Series Cobots with Built-in Force/Torque Sensor and Re-Designed User Interface

With the new e-Series cobot line, Universal Robots raises the bar for cobots, adding unique new features while significantly strengthening the four core principles defining collaborative robots: fast set-up, easy programming, flexible deployment, and safe operation. With a new built-in, tool-centric Force/Torque sensor the e-Series is ready to take on applications requiring force control right out of the box. A repeatability of 30 micron means the new cobots are suitable for very precise finishing, assembly and electronics tasks. A re-designed user interface decreases cognitive load and expedites program development, while a new externally accessible, 500Hz system bus enables more complex motion control algorithms or profiles.
