Extron Introduces Cable Cubby Enclosures for TouchLink Installations

Extron also offers step-by-step videos illustrating the installation of the Retractor Cable Retraction and Management System.

Anaheim, California (October 4, 2012) - Extron Electronics is pleased to announce the immediate availability of two new Cable Cubby® models designed to complement the look of TouchLink™ TLP 350CV and TLP 710CV touchpanels. The Extron TLE 350 and TLE 710 are durable, furniture-mountable metal housings for AV, data, and power connections. The enclosures' dimensions are identical to those of the TLP 350CV and TLP 710CV Cable Cubby TouchLink Touchpanels, creating an elegant, uniform installation when paired with these touchpanels in the same table. When not being used, cables can be stored out of sight while remaining connected to the system, offering a discreet way to access cables and connection points as they are needed. The TLE 350 offers nine AAP openings and the TLE 710 offers eleven. These openings can be populated with a combination of Extron AAP modules and Extron Retractors. Both can be mounted securely into a tabletop, lectern, or other flat surface and are available in black anodized or brushed aluminum finishes. AC power modules are available for the US, Europe, and other major world markets.

"The TLE 350 and TLE 710 are ideal for AV Installations requiring additional power outlets and system connectivity," says Casey Hall, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Extron. "They are perfectly matched to our existing Cable Cubby TouchLink touchpanels for a consistent and polished look."

A wide variety of AAPs, Retractors, and power modules are available on the Extron Web site. Extron also offers step-by-step videos illustrating the installation of the Retractor Cable Retraction and Management System. This video training series is part of Extron E-Training and can be found on the Extron Web site. Please note, the TLE 350 and TLE 710 are built-to-order, so longer lead times will apply. Universal Robots Add a Sense of Touch in New e-Series Cobots with Built-in Force/Torque Sensor and Re-Designed User Interface

With the new e-Series cobot line, Universal Robots raises the bar for cobots, adding unique new features while significantly strengthening the four core principles defining collaborative robots: fast set-up, easy programming, flexible deployment, and safe operation. With a new built-in, tool-centric Force/Torque sensor the e-Series is ready to take on applications requiring force control right out of the box. A repeatability of 30 micron means the new cobots are suitable for very precise finishing, assembly and electronics tasks. A re-designed user interface decreases cognitive load and expedites program development, while a new externally accessible, 500Hz system bus enables more complex motion control algorithms or profiles.
