Indianapolis, IN, USA - September 2012 - SIM2, the Italian manufacturer known worldwide for their pristine video performance and stunning aesthetic design, takes the visual experience to the next level at the 2012 CEDIA, with the introduction of SIRIO: the new high-brightness, 3D active single-chip DLP®-based projector.

The SIRIO projector transforms any large media room into the ultimate high-tech, high performance entertainment system.

This new single-chip 3D DLP® projector is designed for use in entertainment systems where the demand for high light output is mandatory. Why buy a very bulky, environment polluting and power hungry large plasma or LCD unit when you may achieve the same or better result with an outstanding two-piece projection system? This delicate balance between sheer power and the ability to accurately define the dynamics of an image is crucial for true high-end image quality. The SIRIO projector, powered by a dual 350W lamp system delivers images with both very high brightness (up to 6,000 ANSI lumens) and high contrast (up to 6,000:1) without the screen reflection typical of flat panels.

SIRIO is available with a choice of two different SIM2 color wheel options-SIM2Color and SIM2Shine, each designed to offer optimal performance in color and/or brightness.

An extensive array of connection possibilities is available including: HDMI 1.4 and LAN inputs. Systems integration is another of the SIRIO strengths; it will integrate seamlessly into any room thanks to a choice of 5 lenses available.

The SIRIO is available in a striking matte black finish, the same as that used in the luxury automotive industry.

Alberto Fabiano Executive VP of SIM2 USA concludes, "Pursuing our leading-edge tradition, we believe that the SIRIO will further help our dealers boost their projector business to a whole new level of innovation and therefore profitability. Anyone can install a flat panel, but only a CEDIA ESC has the skills and the tools, like the SIRIO, to provide its customer with the best that video display technology has to offer."
