SnapAV is the first manufacturer to have a Control4 Certified driver for DVRs.
Charlotte, NC - July 18, 2012 - SnapAV, a manufacturer and exclusive source of more than 1,000 high-quality custom A/V products in the US and Canada, today announced that it now has Control4 Certified drivers for its Wirepath™ Surveillance DVRs and Binary™ HDMI Switchers.
SnapAV has upgraded its Wirepath™ DVRs to be directly controlled via IP using its newly-developed certified driver, located within the Control4 Composer programming software. SnapAV has also developed Control4 Certified drivers for its Binary™ HDMI Matrix Switchers. The certifications make integration into a Control4 system simpler and grants dealers access to comprehensive Control4 technical support when integrating the products. SnapAV is the first manufacturer to have a Control4 Certified driver for DVRs.
"A lot of SnapAV dealers are Control4 dealers," says SnapAV Senior Vice President Adam Levy. "We are thrilled to partner with companies like this and provide easier integration and better support when both of these products are working together. Combined with the recent software update that allows Wirepath Surveillance DVRs to stream video directly into the Control4 interface, these new certified drivers help our dealers save time and money when using our products with Control4 systems."
"With over 6,500 drivers from 150 different companies, Control4 enables third-party manufacturers to design leading consumer electronics devices that integrate within the Control4 system.
"Control4 has long held the view that in order to drive home automation adoption, everything in the home must work together," said Jim Arnold, SVP of Sales at Control4. "Control4 Certified products improve the operation of home theaters, multi-room music, lighting, temperature control, energy management, and security by improving both compatibility and functionality before installation.
