Gordon Sell Public Relations has provided long-term, high-quality media relations services to clients in the consumer electronics industry since 1988.

DENVER (6/25/12) -- David Schanin, the CEO of HydraConnect LLC, has announced that Gordon Sell Public Relations will now be handling the company's media relations activities to the custom installation industry.

HydraConnect manufactures and sells systems that integrate HDMI functionality and connectivity into the Control4 home automation environment. HydraConnect was founded in 2010 by Schanin and Tony Anzelmo, two A/V professionals with over 60 years of combined electronics design, development, and manufacturing experience.

HydraConnect's new HSS-2 HDMI Matrix Processor simplifies the integration of HDMI capabilities into the Control4 environment. The HSS-2 provides full HDMI 8x8 matrix switching, 8x16 stereo switching, and patented CEC control which eliminate most IR blasters from the Control4 system. HSS-2 also includes fully automatic EDID generation and HDCP key management. HydraConnect's control and set-up software provides system-wide interrogation of attached devices, so the HSS-2 'knows' what it is connected to and automatically selects the correct CEC communication protocols.

Since its founding, HydraConnect has been received enthusiastically by the Control4 dealer community in the US and in international markets.

Schanin has been President of several successful engineering companies. His latest, Bayview Technology Group, Inc., developed a broad range of energy conservation products for numerous electrically powered products. With extensive experience in the Control4 A/V field, including having a system in his personal residence, David has brought his considerable talent to solving the dilemma of how to successfully integrate HDMI capabilities into the Control4 environment. He holds a BS in Engineering from City University CUNY, and an MS in Engineering from Boston University. He holds 20 US Patents and has several more pending

Anzelmo has over 30 years of experience in software development of real-time and embedded systems, web-based applications, as well as cloud-based applications. His considerable UNIX systems and A/V experience includes development and programming of unique control and applications systems for whole house audio. Applying his extensive expertise to the HSS product family has resulted in a robust yet user-friendly solution. He holds BS in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.

Gordon Sell Public Relations has provided long-term, high-quality media relations services to clients in the consumer electronics industry since 1988.
