The focus of the Summit is a combination of education on an industry-wide level AND to highlight the newest and most cutting edge products from the manufacturers that are involved
Orange County, CA - April 30, 2012 - The previous Technology & Business Summit events that were held over the past two years were winners since it is much more than a typical "line show". The focus of the Summit is a combination of education on an industry-wide level AND to highlight the newest and most cutting edge products from the manufacturers that are involved. We encourage dealers to work ON their business not just IN their business. More than ever, it is an important time to partner with each other. The feedback from dealers and manufacturers that participated in past events was extremely positive, and we are significantly raising the bar this year. This year's event will be held on May 22 in LA and repeated May 24 in Orange County.
This is an event brought to the industry by Independent Manufacturer Rep Firms. To provide some history, the first two Summit events were a collaborative effort between three firms, Calwest Marketing, Clarity Business Group, and Western Sales & Marketing. This year, TEN rep firms and over 60 manufacturers will be participating. The three original firms are part of the Summit group as well as AV Partners, JBA Marketing, MK Marketing, Morris Tait, Novidor & Firestone, Paul Collins Associates, and ProMark. Although the Summit is experiencing massive growth, the education component, and small, focused displays allow for a more intimate setting that promotes more "one on one" interactions. We will also serve breakfast, lunch and snacks.
From Mark Cichowski of Clarity Business Group, "This is unprecedented. Virtually all of the rep firms in our territory, who in many ways are competitors, are coming together to collectively hold this event help our dealers, manufacturers, and us, all grow business. We leave our egos at the door and all feel that this is the beginning of what will become an ongoing event."
From past events, and more recent feedback, we discovered what educational topics dealers wanted in order to help their business. We are fortunate to have gathered some world-class presenters to speak. Also, we are proud to have CEDIA as a sponsor of our Summit. Although there are many subjects, we decided on the following due to the level of interest and time considerations. The classes are about 75 minutes each. :
* Hi-Res Audio Sources and Media Streaming from the Cloud, Rich Green
* Designing Robust Streaming Media Networks, Rich Green
* Winning Service Contracts and Recurring Revenue, Mike Maniscalco
* Standardizing Business Practices, Paul Self
In addition to the General Education Sessions, we will incorporate Manufacturer Training Sessions this year. There will be 18 different classes each day. A few Manufacturer Sessions as well as three of the General Sessions will earn CEDIA Education Credits. With the variety of classes taking place, dealers obviously cannot attend each one, but will certainly have great choices. In addition to the displays and seminars, we will have a live projector demo area in a darkened room, along with several screens. Since the overall info, the Manufacturers participating, the seminars, etc, are too numerous to mention, we are proud to launch our new website specifically for this event.
