Intransa Certifies Two Toshiba Products: High Definition IP Video Surveillance Cameras and Video Management System Software

The Intransa server and storage platforms will be displayed in Intransa booth #26127 at ISC West, March 28-30, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada

ISC WEST 2012

CUPERTINO & IRVINE, Calif.--Intransa, the physical security infrastructure and services company, and Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., announced that Toshiba's High Definition IP Video Surveillance Cameras and Video Management System (VMS) software are SELECT certified for use with Intransa's optimized physical security server and storage infrastructure platforms.

Toshiba's HD IP video surveillance dome camera was the first model to feature full HD 1080p resolution for securing areas where the sharpest video detail is required, such as the identifying of facial features or license plates. The camera offers built-in SR IR LEDs to assist image capture in near complete darkness, along with a wide dynamic range for challenging back lighting environments.

The Toshiba VMS TruSight video analytics suite of products enables enhanced security and surveillance solutions by automatically monitoring video for specific people, vehicles, objects, and their associated behavior within a camera view. This unique VMS software can provide real-time alarms based on user-defined rules to detect abnormal or suspicious behavior without the need for human supervision.

"We are pleased to have not one, but two products, SELECT certified with Intransa," said Sergio Collazo, director, sales and marketing, Toshiba. "Being preloaded for use on Intransa's platforms provides customers with additional choice when they are looking for a combination of VMS software, cameras and a security and storage infrastructure that is designed and built for video surveillance."

Intransa server and storage infrastructure platforms eliminate the challenges of untested commodity servers and storage designed for IT and not for the 24x7x365 world of video surveillance. Intransa's patented software technology, optimization and services, along with hardware tuning that has been proven in thousands of customer installations, delivers increased reliability and non-stop video recording. Pretesting with 3rd-party security applications, such as Toshiba's cameras and VMS software, helps to identify interoperability, performance and integration challenges in advance of installing at the customer site.

"With the certification of Toshiba's high definition cameras and VMS software Intransa is extending the most prominent trend in the IP space and optimizing it for use with our server and storage infrastructure platform," said Alex Doorduyn, director, product management, Intransa.

The Intransa server and storage platforms will be displayed in Intransa booth #26127 at ISC West, March 28-30, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Those visiting the booth will also have the opportunity to win an Apple iPod Touch or an Apple iPad, along with picking up the latest Intransa product information.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
