Franklin, TN, March 14, 2012 - Sherbourn Technologies, a revered force in high-performance, high-value audio/video components for the custom integration market, today announced that it will soon ship the new PT­7030 7.1 Channel Audiophile Home Theater Preamp/Processor, a new reference preamp/processor that distills all of the high performance audio and digital processing prowess for which Sherbourn is known into one chassis.


Designed with the high-end installer in mind and offering full Ethernet control, the PT­7030 comes with extensive drivers for all popular home automation systems, and features discrete parametric equalization for each channel, allowing installers to dial in precise custom room correction.

Twin Cirrus® 32­bit dual­core DSP processors, along with an integrated Genesis® Torino high-performance video scaling engine and Faroudja DCDi Cinema® Format Conversion and Truelife™ video enhancer, ensure the utmost in audiovisual performance, with true 24/192 performance and support for all the latest high-resolution audio formats, as well as true 10-bit video processing and stunning, lifelike detail from even the most difficult video sources.

The PT-7030 also offers plentiful inputs, including six HDMI 1.4a inputs and two HDMI 1.4a outputs (with full support for Deep Color, Audio Return Channel, and CEC), as well as scaled 1080p HDMI output from all legacy video inputs (three composite, two component), and the ability to output video from all HDMI inputs via the component video outputs at 1080i. And in addition to stereo and 7.2-channel unbalanced RCA inputs and outputs, it also boasts balanced XLR stereo inputs, and 7.2-channel balanced XLR outs, offering noise-free compatibility with the finest audio power amplifiers, as well as Bluetooth audio streaming capabilities, with support for iOS devices.

The PT-7030 7.1 Channel Audiophile Home Theater Preamp/Processor carries a five-year warranty, and will be available only through authorized Sherbourn dealers in early Q2, 2012, for a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $2,499.
