Prysm Unveils New Tile Display Panel Specifically Designed for Broadcast Environments and Close Proximity Interaction at ISE 2012

SAN JOSE, Calif.--Prysm, manufacturers of the revolutionary Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) platform, unveiled a new tile display panel designed specifically for broadcast applications and close proximity interaction, during the 2012 Integrated Systems Europe trade show in Amsterdam from 31st January - 2nd February.

"Aside from our configurable display panels, the LPD technology platform is flexible and able to meet various application needs including brightness, panel size, and panel resolution. The development of the Close Proximity Panel makes Prysm even more suitable for broadcast, interactive retail and corporate applications."

Prysm's newest display panels were on exhibit during the expo in Booth 9C129, along with the company's Digital Kiosk, which consists of 10 of Prysm's 25" TD1 videowall tiles in a 2x5 configuration, featuring the new panel as well as multi-touch and gesture input capabilities.

Roger Hajjar, Prysm's Founder and Chief Technology Officer, explained:

Our multi-layer approach to panel manufacturing allows us to include materials that deliver optimal image quality on an application specific basis. The new Close Proximity and Broadcast Panels were designed to provide users optimal viewing at arm's length, stunning image quality and consistent brightness and colour throughout the entire video wall to ensure a uniform, crisp image from any angle and at any level of camera zoom."

"The Close Proximity Panel has extreme colour temperature settings ranging from as low as 2,400 - 11,000 Kelvin. The range in colour temperature makes Prysm's newest displays ideal for creating stunning backdrops and live correspondence screens. The panels have been specifically designed for performance in lighting situations used in broadcast studios, as the panels eliminate moir© patterns and ensure skin tones are portrayed accurately and in line with the presenters in the studio."
