XANTECH INTRODUCES ITS NEW MRKP2 KEYPADS

SYLMAR, CA, June 23, 2010 - Xantech Commercial unveils the company's new MRKP2 keypads. The MRKP2 employs a hybrid keypad design that combines keypad simplicity with full LCD touchpanel features, including transport controls for operating A/V components along with advanced navigation features. With a 2.4 -inch TFT LCD keypad, the MRKP2 offers the ultimate in user experience by combining the benefits of hard keys and touchscreens.
Compatible with Xantech's MX88 and MRC88m, visually the MRKP2 has an updated, contemporary industrial design. The unit is QuickConfig (QC) -enabled, meaning that it is configurable with or without Xantech's Universal Dragon™ software, and it mounts in UL/CSA standard two -gang electrical backboxes and open -back low -voltage frames.
The LCD touchscreen can display up to seven lines of metadata, and employs user -selectable backlight color (blue and green) for its hard buttons. The MRKP2's built -in interference -resistant wide -band IR receiver, along with a powered interface to Xantech external IR receiver modules makes it even more valuable to contractors and system integrators. Additionally, the MRKP2 is hot -swappable.
The unit, along with bezel & trim -plate, ships in standard white; to match any installation, almond, ivory and black colors are available with the KCK2 trim kit sold separately.
C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
