OmniMount is awarded platinum status in the Green Service or Corporate Policy of the Year category.

The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA®) recently announced that OmniMount has won a 2010 Mark of Excellence Award, presented by CEA's TechHome Division. CEA's Mark of Excellence Awards honored OmniMount with platinum status in the Green Service or Corporate Policy of the Year category for outstanding achievement and innovation in trend setting custom home electronics services. Award entries were reviewed by a panel of industry experts and submitted in two categories: Supplier and Systems Integrators.

OmniMount has consistently shown dedication to conserving nature's resources and reducing overall waste, not only in manufacturing, but in the overall company mission as well. A key piece of the company's efforts includes the development of its OmniLite Series™, a line of flat panel mounts that reduces the amount of unnecessary material used by 32 percent. The line greatly reduces waste by featuring condensed packaging and streamlined hardware kits, and manuals and installation templates for each product in the line are printed on the inside of the box eliminating unnecessary paper. The OmniLite Series also utilizes 100 percent recyclable internal packaging with no plastic bags, post -consumer recyclable outer box material and non -petroleum -based ink for all package printing.

OmniMount is also a member of the Phoenix Chapter of the Arizona Green Chamber of Commerce (PGCC) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), joining the ranks of thousands of companies nationwide that are demonstrating their dedication and commitment to the environment. Multiple levels of recycling and energy conservation happen at the corporate headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, and incentive programs for employees that carpool and extend green practices to their homes have also been created.

"Over the past several years we've been very focused on making energy -saving and socially responsible business decisions," said Alex Robertson, the senior vice president of sales and marketing for OmniMount. "We're incredibly honored to be recognized for our dedication to advancing sustainability and hope our corporate policies can serve as a helpful guide to other companies making eco -friendly changes in their operations."

OmniMount was recognized at the Mark of Excellence Awards Reception last Friday evening during the eleventh annual Electronic House Expo (EHX) Spring 2010. Each year manufacturers, distributors and systems integrators enter to compete in award categories for this coveted honor. Each of the TechHome Mark of Excellence Award categories has a four -member judging team comprised of systems integrators, manufacturers, members of the trade press and industry consultants to determine both finalists and winners.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
