Crestron Releases HDMI Over Fiber Transmitter/Receiver Pair

The Crestron HD-TX3-F and HD-RX3-F Extend Uncompressed HDMI 1000 Feet

ROCKLEIGH, NJ, - Crestron today announced the release of the HD -TX3 -F and HD -RX3 -F transmitter/receiver pair, which provides a simple, reliable solution to extend uncompressed HDMI, analog audio, Ethernet, USB HID and control signals up to 1000 feet over single multimode fiber. The pair supports HDMI 1.3a with Deep Color and 7.1 channel lossless audio; manages EDID and HDCP, handles resolutions up to 1920x1200 and 1080p60, and are compatible with both DVI and DisplayPort Multimode.

According to Vincent Bruno, Crestron Director of Marketing, "Today's AV presentation and home entertainment systems include HDMI sources that need to run longer distances than HDMI was designed for. Crestron has developed several solutions, including this transmitter/receiver pair, to extend uncompressed signals as far as 1000 feet without signal degradation or repeaters."

Crestron HDMI -over -fiber delivers very dependable long distance transmission solutions that are simple to implement. No special configuration or programming is required - just connect your source and display and enjoy high quality HD video and audio from 1000 feet away. The HD -TX3 -F and HD -TX3 -F are both housed in sleek, compact enclosures, with provisions for mounting to any flat surface or on one rail of an equipment rack.

The HD -TX3 -F and HD -RX3 -F extend networking and control signals for a complete one -wire AV interface solution, and high -speed LAN connectivity enables system integration with Crestron RoomView® asset management and help desk software. With the USB HID port, a keyboard and mouse located at the podium by the display device, for example, can control a computer in the equipment room with the transmitter. Additional IR and bidirectional RS -232 control signals may also be routed to control a display device and other equipment.

For new installations, plenum or non -plenum rated CresFiber® may be pulled through conduit and terminated at any length up to 1000 feet. For retrofit projects, CresFiber® CLEAR looks just like fishing line, so it's virtually invisible when run along baseboards and around moldings, leaving a perfectly clean installation without opening walls.

Universal Robots Add a Sense of Touch in New e-Series Cobots with Built-in Force/Torque Sensor and Re-Designed User Interface

With the new e-Series cobot line, Universal Robots raises the bar for cobots, adding unique new features while significantly strengthening the four core principles defining collaborative robots: fast set-up, easy programming, flexible deployment, and safe operation. With a new built-in, tool-centric Force/Torque sensor the e-Series is ready to take on applications requiring force control right out of the box. A repeatability of 30 micron means the new cobots are suitable for very precise finishing, assembly and electronics tasks. A re-designed user interface decreases cognitive load and expedites program development, while a new externally accessible, 500Hz system bus enables more complex motion control algorithms or profiles.
