AVAD to Continue Providing Top -Notch Service to Local Dealers throughout Dallas Relocation

Custom electronics distributor relocates Dallas branch to Ingram Micro Facility.

AVAD LLC, North America's leading distributor of custom electronics, announced that it is relocating its Dallas, Texas branch to Ingram Micro's Carrollton facility on March 29, 2010. The new location inside the Ingram Micro facility will offer area dealers the same unique AVAD advantages they've benefited from at the previous facility -access to AVAD Experience Centers, a dedicated home theater and showroom, training facilities, a will -call area and a fully -stocked warehouse. The new branch will be located off I -35E, eight miles north of its current location at 1809 W Frankford Rd # 100, Carrollton, TX 75007.

"The relocation of the AVAD Dallas branch illustrates how the support of our parent company, Ingram Micro, can benefit AVAD and its dealers," said Jim Annes, vice president and general manager of AVAD. "AVAD continuously evaluates the effectiveness of each of its facilities both financially and in terms of productivity. While our current Dallas facility has served the needs of area dealers for some time, we feel it does not meet the needs of AVAD's long -term strategy for dealer support. The implementation of this 'store within a store' concept not only saves significant revenue but gives AVAD a virtual unlimited opportunity to grow within this facility as we expand into new markets such as commercial AV, security and digital signage."

The new Dallas location will offer area dealers access to AVAD's fully -functional AVAD Experience Center, featuring the latest products from leading manufacturers in home theater, home automation, commercial AV, lighting controls, security, distributed AV, central vacuum, HVAC and more. AVAD -Dallas will also continue to offer the industry's most respected and recognized brands, in -depth product and category training, the widest selection in various disciplines -audio, video, lighting controls, home automation, commercial AV, security and more -and an expert sales staff to offer support in system design, application and technical support.

AVAD branches also offer fully -stocked showrooms, including a state -of -the -art home theater, providing dealers a resource for marketing and selling complete custom home electronic solutions to their clients. AVAD dealers have the luxury of scheduling appointments to utilizing the AVAD home theater, demo rooms and Experience Centers as a showroom for their prospective customers.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
