Ready for production, the FortrezZ WV -01 Water Level / Irrigation or Emergency Water Shut -Off Valve is ready to be sold to distributors and manufacturers of home automation, control, home security and monitoring systems. The Z -WaveTM WV -01 Valve will fill a gap in the product market for wireless emergency water shut -off valves or water level / irrigation systems valves and will work with any z -wave wireless water & freeze alarm or soil moisture sensors.

This patented product, intelligent, microprocessor controlled Device will provide you with peace of mind and the protection you expect from damage caused by water leaks or freezing. Water damage is caused by leaking pipes, corroded water heaters, water storage tanks, fixtures in bathrooms, laundry rooms, refrigerator drip pans, inclement weather, etc.
Every year millions of people experience water damages, hundreds of thousands of them file for water damage claims under their home insurances.
Maintaining water levels in containers or certain predetermined soil moisture levels is also important to homeowners, farmers or gardeners. WV -01 will fill a gap in the product market for such devices.

The WV -01 Water Level / Irrigation or Emergency Water Shut -Off Valve is a Wireless Z -WaveTM enabled device and is fully compatible with any Z -WaveTM enabled network. A WV -01 Valve without being part of a Z -WaveTM network will still protect you for water leaks using the local installed water leak probe. This WV -01 Valve is designed for the US market using 908 MHz and comes in 5 pipe sizes: ½", ¾", 1", 1 ¼" and 1 ½" and meets most local plumbing codes. A European market version will be released shortly thereafter using 868 MHz. WV -01 Valve is expected to ship after January 31st 2010, and is available for preorder from wholesalers and distributors.
