SmartLabs' Joe Dada Named to University of California, Irvine Extension's Sustainable Buildings: Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Advisory Board

- University of California, Irvine Extension's Sustainable Buildings: Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy program has announced that Joe Dada, CEO of SmartLabs, Inc., will be joining their advisory board.

Irvine, CA - University of California, Irvine Extension's Sustainable Buildings: Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy program has announced that Joe Dada, CEO of SmartLabs, Inc., will be joining their advisory board. As a member of the advisory board, Dada will assist in the direction and development of the curriculum, marketing and partnership opportunities.

Dada's vision is that our homes should have remote control "everything". He founded SmartLabs in 1992 as a bootstrap startup. Shortly thereafter, he launched, becoming one of the world's first ecommerce companies. During the late 1990's, Dada acquired two product engineering firms, formed SmartLabs Design, and began designing and manufacturing proprietary remote control lighting and related products. Between 2000 and 2005, he led the development of INSTEON, a dual -band (RF plus Powerline) mesh networking technology which has now become the best selling home area networking technology.
