Panamax/Furman Power Management Solutions to Dazzle in Elegant New Savant NYC Experience Center

Home Theater Enthusiasts Can Now Experience Demos of the Latest High-End Home Entertainment Equipment

PETALUMA, Calif. - Sept. 10, 2009 - State -of -the -art AC power management solutions from Panamax/Furman will take a bow in the dazzling new Savant NYC Experience Center opening in New York City's affluent SoHo district. The 7,500 -square -foot design center will feature two fully automated spaces, one with a commercial focus and the other residential, to enable Savant's authorized dealers to show prospective clients how the company's A/V control and entertainment systems integrate seamlessly into a real -world setting.

As a member of Savant's Excellence in A/V Program, Panamax/Furman's power management systems allow seamless installation with Savant's automation solutions through an RS -232 communication port. In the Savant design center, Panamax's MB1500, Furman's Elite -20 PF i and IT -Reference 20i, and the Panamax/Furman MIW -XT in -wall power management extender systems will all be used to protect and enhance the performance of A/V components.

The residential portion of the Savant design center is scheduled to open in October, with a gala launch party planned for November. The commercial space is expected to open in the first quarter of 2010. Savant has assembled a world -class team to execute the project including one of House Beautiful's "Top 100 American Designers" and a recipient of House and Garden's coveted international "Taste Maker" designation, Thom Filicia. The residential showcase will feature a fully automated master bedroom and bathroom, music/piano area, and media room. There will also be a dedicated home theater crafted by world renowned theater designer and industry legend Theo Kalomirakis and a fully functional kitchen by Dahlia Kitchen Design.

• The MIW -XT extends the benefits of a Panamax or Furman power management component to remotely located equipment. An elegant, code -compliant design easily installs into the wall for discreet delivery of clean power from a remote location.
• The MB1500 features a 12A capacity with 1500VA battery back -up, while including surge protection, automatic voltage regulation, and Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT). Remote or local IP control is an available option through Panamax's new BlueBOLT™ technology, which allows the MB1500 to be managed either remotely or integrated into a home network. An optional 2 -RU 1500VA battery extension pack (BATT1500 -EXT) is also available, extending battery run time by as much as 4x.
• The IT -Reference 20i utilizes a massive, discrete symmetrically balanced isolation transformer to ensure 100 percent isolation of connected equipment and provide pristine balanced power for uncompromised equipment performance.
• The Elite -20 PF i power conditioner brings an elegant design to the home theater, featuring Furman's SMP/LiFT/EVS for maximum equipment performance and longevity. Ideal for use with power amplifiers and powered subwoofers, the Elite -20 PF i's Power Factor Technology provides an 80A peak current reservoir ensuring low -impedance, ultra -linear power source for high -current equipment.
