Philips Pronto hosts Advanced Touch Screen design training at CEDIA

On Saturday September 12, the Philips Pronto Team will host an Advanced Touch Screen Design course at the CEDIA Expo in the Georgia World Congress center, Atlanta. Creating stunning touch panel interfaces while preserving simplicity for the end user

The Pronto Control panels are known for their great displays, ranging from the 2.8" QVGA display of the TSU9300 up to the razor -sharp 6.4" VGA screen of the TSU9800. Their graphical capabilities include support for various image formats, transparency and animations. An extensive and recently renewed graphical library is part of the ProntoEditProfessional software.

As a guidance on how to make use of the endless possibilities Pronto offers, default configuration files are provided for each of the panels covering the most common control activities. Yet each installation is different, imposing specific requirements on the user interface. No installer can escape from it, as it is key to the customer's satisfaction of the entire installation.

Good graphical user interface design is not only about the visuals. A stunning interface needs to be easy enough for anyone to use yet sophisticated enough to satisfy the control connoisseur. Pronto offers all the tools to do so. In this session installers will have the opportunity to discuss their projects.

Kevin Fitzpatrick, TEC Supervisor at Russound comments "Russound prides itself on developing intuitive, easy to use interfaces and the 2 way control available with Pronto remotes is a perfect fit. With the control and RNET feedback it's like holding a Russound keypad in your hand."

"Our goal is to provide dealers with a totally customized and intuitive interface that makes it look like they spent hours creating it", explains Dave Sereno, CEO at OnlyOneRemote.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
