Octava - 4x2 HDMI Amp with 7.1 Audio Output

The Octava HDSA71 is custom made for systems requiring both HDMI switching and 7.1 Multi Channel audio.

Norcross, Ga. - Octava Inc., specialists in HDMI solutions, announced the release of a 4 HDMI input 2 HDMI output switch with 7.1 Multi Channel audio output.

The HDSA71 is custom made for systems requiring both HDMI switching and 7.1 Multi Channel audio. Hi Def players such as the PS3 has internal 7.1 to LPCM conversion , however the PS3 lack 8 channel analog outputs. Therefore users are unable to integrate with their existing audio systems using 7.1 channel analog audio amplifiers.

The HDSA71 is compatible with the PS3 which has internal 7.1 to LPCM conversion and output the decoded PS3 7.1 LPCM audio and covert to 7.1 Multi Channel output for integration with high end audio systems with 7.1 ( 8 ch) analog inputs.

The HDSA71 has 4 HDMI inputs, 2 HDMI outputs for routing up to 4 HDMI sources and displaying the same picture to 2 HD monitors. In addition, a set of 7.1 Multi Channel output and a set of Auxiliary 8 channel audio input for switching in a secondary audio multi channel source is included.

Additionally, a Digital Optical Audio output is included for converting HDMI audio to Optical Toslink audio for easy integration with audio receivers. RS -232 port available for integration with 3rd party control systems.

The HDSA71 is full 1080P compatible.

HDMI is the latest standard for distributing High Definition Digital Video and Audio in high def displays for 2 reasons: 1) uncompressed digital format ensures the best picture quality and 2) HDMI allows content providers to ensure that their intellectual property is protected through HDCP.
