Polk Audio announced that it will soon ship the OWM5, a versatile speaker that lets end users and installers enjoy the sound of Polk in a myriad of home audio applications and placements, for exceptional home theater, music listening and game play in any primary, secondary or personal zone.


The latest addition to Polk's acclaimed OWM Series distinguishes itself from the competition not only through legendary Polk sound, but through a cleverly designed form factor that lends itself to virtually any placement and installation option. The OWM5 can mount on -wall or stand alone, horizontally or vertically oriented, and configured for use in a 2.1, 5.1, 7.1 setup. Whether adjoining a flat screen TV, a remote zone music setup, or a gaming station, the OWM5 offers 9 different mounting options to fit into any application seamlessly.

Thanks to its clever shape, integrated mounting hardware and supplied stands, the Polk OWM5 offers an astounding nine installation options, including vertical and horizontal wall or corner mounting; free -standing in both orientations, and angled ceiling mounts. No matter how it is mounted, the user will enjoy the clarity and impact of two 4.5mm mid -bass drivers and a 25.4mm soft -dome tweeter that mates perfectly with Polk's other OWM speakers. The matching compact subwoofer brings authoritative bass to any OWM installation, and richly fills out any 2.1, 5.1 or 7.1 listening station.

The Polk OWM5 will begin shipping March 2009.
