Cooper Wiring Devices expands Aspire RF™ with new wireless controls for retrofits

Cooper Wiring Devices will be displaying a series of new "no neutral required" two-wire dimmers and switches as additions to the ASPIRE RF line at the 2008 CEDIA Expo.

PEACHTREE CITY, GA., August 29, 2008 - Cooper Wiring Devices will be displaying a series of new "no neutral required" two -wire dimmers and switches as additions to the ASPIRE RF Wireless Control System at the 2008 CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation) Expo in Denver, CO, September 3 -7. The new line will include:

• ASPIRE RF 600W Wireless Smart Dimmer Master (RF9534)
• ASPIRE RF 1000W Wireless Smart Dimmer Master (RF9536)
• ASPIRE Non -RF Accessory/Remote Dimmer (RF9542)
• ASPIRE RF 8A Wireless Switch (RF9518)
• ASPIRE RF Non -RF Wireless Accessory/Remote Switch (RF9520)

No neutral is required for installation of any of the devices. The products allow for use of existing 120 V/AC 60Hz standard house wiring and fit into ASPIRE screwless wallplates. They're available in three custom colors: Desert Sand, Silver Granite and White Satin.
Each of the new devices replaces regular switches and dimmers to provide local and remote ON/OFF/DIM/BRIGHT control for incandescent lights. The dimmers and switches are ideal for allowing a variety of programmable functions like scenes, events association and child lockout, as well as ramp rate and delayed off settings. The Master Switch and Smart Dimmer can all be manually controlled and remotely controlled by commands sent from any ASPIRE RF or Z -Wave® compatible controller. The Non -RF Accessory Switch and Dimmer provide multi -location control through the use of traditional 3 -way wiring and offer LEDs for light level indication.

"Cooper Wiring Devices continues to expand its wireless lighting controls' breadth of line to address the application and market condition needs of our valued customers" said Jason Sherrill, Product Manager, Technology. "This new line of switches and dimmers reflect our commitment to provide a complete retrofit solution to our customers and to allow them to grow their business beyond the new construction segment."
These additions to the ASPIRE RF line will be one of several to be highlighted at Cooper Wiring Devices' exhibitor booth #345, as the company looks to educate and train a wide variety of installers, integrators and other industry professionals on the advantages ASPIRE RF offers their customers and how it can help them to grow their business.
