ELAN® TechWeek 2008 Sells Out In Record Time

Industry-leading Technical Educational Event Sees No Slowdown In Market

LEXINGTON, KY - ELAN® Home Systems, a leading manufacturer of award -winning Multi -Room audio/video and home control systems, announced today that Tech Week 2008, its groundbreaking technical training event, has completely sold out its 300 seats, and a waiting list has been created. The announcement was made today by Paul Starkey, ELAN's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Bucking the doom and gloom of the 'slow market' and 'suffering economy' reports, Tech Week 2008's 300 seats were snatched up in record time by Technicians and Installers from across the globe, including 24 international registrations representing companies from 10 countries across four continents.

'It's remarkable to see such industry enthusiasm for technical training with ELAN, HomeLogic and Sunfire® and the chance to network with our prestigious group of Sponsors has resulted in an earlier -than -ever sell -out for Tech Week 2008,' stated Mr. Starkey. 'The power of our three companies together has proven to be a tremendous draw. Although we officially had to shut down registration when we hit 300, we are, in fact, oversold. The phones continue to ring with many Dealers and Sales Managers calling for additional seats. In response, we have created a waiting list in the event that any more event space and rooms become available.'

'Tech Week has surely benefited from unprecedented industry support with Lutron® and Middle Atlantic Products having signed on as VIP Headline Sponsors, LiteTouch and Aprilaire joining in as additional VIP Sponsors and EH Publishing and Mendelsohn Media onboard as Headline and Supporting Media Sponsors,' added Cat Fowler, Vice President of Marketing and Customer Services, who oversees Training along with Dino Mevoli, ELAN's National Training Manager. 'These key partners, combined with our sister companies, Sunfire and HomeLogic, make this an event for the record book.'

ELAN's award -winning Tech Week has grown into the industry's most elite educational event and, this year, will bring together top ELAN, HomeLogic and Sunfire® Dealers, VIA!® Integration Partners and Media Representatives from May 13th through 16th at the Marriott Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, Kentucky. Undoubtedly the industry's most intensive bi -annual technical training event, ELAN Tech Week has been specifically designed for the benefit of the companies' Technicians, Installers, and Programmers.
