New Matrix Switcher from Gefen Integrates HDTV Systems and Extends Displays Over CAT -5 Cables

The 4x4 HDMI CAT-5 Matrix delivers complete matrix switching among four HDMI sources and four HDMI displays, offering a simple and effective method of accessing multiple sources from multiple rooms throughout the home.

CHATSWORTH, CA - The new, multi -functional 4x4 HDMI CAT -5 Matrix from Gefen offers an easy method of integrating high definition sources and displays.

Its four HDMI inputs support all high definition audio/video devices equipped with HDMI including satellite television systems, disc players, digital video recorders and gaming systems. Once all four sources are connected to the matrix, users can assign each source to one of the four displays or projectors connected to the matrix's HDMI outputs.

The 4x4 HDMI CAT -5 Matrix delivers complete matrix switching among all eight devices, offering a simple and effective method of accessing multiple sources from multiple displays.

If the four displays are located in different rooms or remote destinations, the 4x4 HDMI CAT -5 Matrix can extend each display up to 300 feet using CAT -5 cables connected to remote receivers. Each receiver delivers HDMI signals to its display through a 6 -foot HDMI cable supplied by Gefen. All four receivers operate with IR remote capability so signals are transferred back and forth from the matrix for optimal control.

Whether integrated locally or extended long distance, Gefen's 4x4 HDMI CAT -5 Matrix delivers high definition resolutions up to 1080p with full HDCP compliance so there is no loss of video quality on all four displays.

In addition to its four receivers, the rack mountable matrix system comes with a master IR remote control, RS -232 port for connecting smart control devices, and rack ears for mounting. With a MSRP of $3999, the unit is currently on pre -order at Gefen.com or through an authorized Gefen reseller.

The 4x4 HDMI CAT -5 Matrix has been nominated for Most inAVative video processing or distribution product for commercial use by inAVate magazine, with voting taking place at: http://www.inavationawardsonthenet.net/technologyvoting.aspx

Awards will be distributed to winners at the Hotel Okura in Amsterdam during the Integrated Systems Europe event.

Universal Robots - Collaborative Robot Solutions

Universal Robots is a result of many years of intensive research in robotics. The product portfolio includes the UR5 and UR10 models that handle payloads of up to 11.3 lbs. and 22.6 lbs. respectively. The six-axis robot arms weigh as little as 40 lbs. with reach capabilities of up to 51 inches. Repeatability of +/- .004" allows quick precision handling of even microscopically small parts. After initial risk assessment, the collaborative Universal Robots can operate alongside human operators without cumbersome and expensive safety guarding. This makes it simple and easy to move the light-weight robot around the production, addressing the needs of agile manufacturing even within small- and medium sized companies regarding automation as costly and complex. If the robots come into contact with an employee, the built-in force control limits the forces at contact, adhering to the current safety requirements on force and torque limitations. Intuitively programmed by non-technical users, the robot arms go from box to operation in less than an hour, and typically pay for themselves within 195 days. Since the first UR robot entered the market in 2009, the company has seen substantial growth with the robotic arms now being sold in more than 50 countries worldwide.
