Six classes will now be available with more added over time on topics ranging from how to expand into wireless lighting control to best business practices for installers to become more profitable.
To design the initial education courses, Capitol Sales selected the most popular classes from their 12th Annual Dealer Education and Technology Showcase held in March 2007. "We turned those well -attended courses into on -line educational opportunities," said Curt Hayes, President and CFO of Capitol Sales Company. "Now, they are available 24 hours a day. Dealers can, at their convenience, continue to educate themselves about the trends and changes in the industry. We've had dealers ask if we'd make our education classes available via DVD and this is one step better -dealers don't have to order a class, they can just go on -line at a time and place that works best for them."

In addition to the training on the revamped website, users will welcome simpler navigation along with the new look. Another significant enhancement is the search capability which is now capable of delivering results 83 percent faster than the prior site. Dealers will now be able to view related items to the product they are interested in buying. For example, when they search for a flat -panel television, they can see compatible mounts, making it easy to complete the order for the main product and any required or optional accessories.
The new site also makes it easier for dealers to track orders. By reducing a several -step process to one simple click, orders can be tracked quickly. Also, in the advanced search results and on product pages, each product is clearly labeled as to whether it will ship via UPS or truck. There is free UPS freight for all on -line orders, and free truck freight for orders over $3,000.
