H3C Selects Intellon\'s INT6300 for Ethernet -over -Coax Solution for Apartment Buildings in China

H3C Demonstrating the Intellon-Based Digital Cable Upgrade Solution at China's ICTC Conference in Hangzhou October 31- November 2

Ocala, Fla. - October 30, 2007 - Intellon Corporation, a leading provider of HomePlug -compatible integrated circuits (ICs) for home networking, networked entertainment, broadband over powerline (BPL) and smart grid applications, today announced that H3C, one of the world's leading IP technology and solution providers, has selected Intellon's INT6300 IC for use in H3C's Ethernet -over -Coax (EoC) solutions for multiple dwelling unit (MDU) apartment complexes in China. Trials are ongoing with deployments expected to begin in 2008.

H3C will be demonstrating its EoC digital cable solution at the International CATV Technology Conference (ICTC) held October 31 through November 2 in Hangzhou, China. H3C will use EoC technology for high -speed, two -way communication for Video on Demand (VoD) back channel and broadband Internet applications.

H3C selected Intellon's advanced INT6300 solution for these important applications based on extensive lab and field tests. H3C's field tests demonstrated that Intellon's EoC solution can reliably distribute data over more than 500 meters of coax with multiple splitters along the way without requiring the cable operator to change the existing cabling within the MDU. The trials - involving thousands of residents to date - are ongoing as H3C moves forward with plans to deliver this new service to Chinese apartment dwellers in 2008.

"Delivering quality broadband and VoD back channel using the existing cabling to residents in large apartment buildings over coax is challenging for many reasons," said York Liao, Director of SMB/SOHO Products Development at H3C. "Our trials so far have been quite successful and the Intellon solution demonstrates that it provides reliable and robust two -way connectivity even in harsh conditions."

"H3C is an innovative service provider equipment manufacturer, and we are excited about being a part of the solution they bring to the digital CATV upgrade in China," said Cameron McCaskill, VP Business Development of Intellon Corporation. "Our technical team has been working closely with H3C in the trial deployments and our solution has proven itself to be up to the challenge of delivering high quality multimedia over long lengths of coax and across multiple splitters reliably."

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
