A new outstanding line up of loudspeakers from Tannoy designed to satisfy a range of installation applications encompassing media rooms, home theatre, boardrooms through to high end marine interiors.

The full line of the new Definition Install range includes in -cabinet / behind -screen models as well as high performance, fully enclosed in -wall speakers. All offer exceptionally high sensitivity (as high as 98dB 1 Watt @ 1 meter). Two substantial subwoofers complete the line up.

Behind Screen models
There are three Behind Screen models which each utilise a single Dual Concentric™ driver. Tannoy's world -renowned point source technology is ideal for this type of application with its high power handling and even dispersion characteristics. Catering for a variety of system demands and room proportions, the Behind Screen models are available with 165mm, 200mm or 300mm (6.00", 8.00" or 12.00") driver sizes.

In -wall models
The iw63 DC features Tannoy's proprietary 165mm (6.50") Dual Concentric™ driver coupled with two 165mm (6.50") high output woofers. Capable of tremendous output, providing effortless, powerful sound, the iw63 DC is designed to be used in any L, C, R or surround application, and will blend discreetly and seamlessly for an invisible home theatre environment.

The Tannoy Definition iw60 EFX is a truly multipurpose solution for every conceivable high end surround application. Conveniently configurable between two modes of operation - 'Cinema Mode', where the two optimally aligned 100mm (4.00") Dual Concentric™ drivers create a wide and even flow of acoustic energy over a large area, creating a diffuse room filling ambience; and 'Music Mode' where the 165mm (6.50") constant directivity Dual Concentric™ driver produces a more localized and focused sound, highlighting the distinct separation afforded by modern programme material.

Both in -wall models use an isolation system for reducing speaker to wall vibrations.

Subwoofers
The two DS subwoofers underpin a Definition install theatre system with truly remarkable low frequency performance. Each is massively constructed around either a 300mm or 380mm (12.00" or 15.00") professional drive unit and yet they are compact enough to integrate into modestly sized room. Producing the ultimate cinema experience with spectacular and thunderous bass, these subwoofers are also agile enough to maintain finer musical detail with precision and speed.

Full specification for each of the models in the Definition Install range is available on a product launch CD or individually printed data sheets, downloadable from the Tannoy website.

Universal Robots Add a Sense of Touch in New e-Series Cobots with Built-in Force/Torque Sensor and Re-Designed User Interface

With the new e-Series cobot line, Universal Robots raises the bar for cobots, adding unique new features while significantly strengthening the four core principles defining collaborative robots: fast set-up, easy programming, flexible deployment, and safe operation. With a new built-in, tool-centric Force/Torque sensor the e-Series is ready to take on applications requiring force control right out of the box. A repeatability of 30 micron means the new cobots are suitable for very precise finishing, assembly and electronics tasks. A re-designed user interface decreases cognitive load and expedites program development, while a new externally accessible, 500Hz system bus enables more complex motion control algorithms or profiles.
