ISE is seen as the mirror of this industry. Again we must give our thanks to the three associations. Their effort and support is a major factor in the continuing success of ISE.'

ISE continues to expand internationally with a growing number of visitors from Scandinavia, the Middle East and particularly Eastern Europe, home of the recent highly successful ISE Roadshows.

And with the first day seeing massive queues build up at registration throughout the morning, Blackman added: 'Within a just a couple of hours of opening, the show has already come alive and exhibitors were delighted to see so many visitors from not only Europe, but also from world wide who had made the journey to Amsterdam to visit the show. And with an expanded range of pavilions and displays, ISE has become more of a magazine to the industry, by offering strong editorial and feature content to support the advertising of products and services.'

Winners of the EMEA InAVation Awards were announced at a special event on the evening before the show opened. These included Electrosonic Ltd, BaSys & Media Control, XL Video, ILife Solutions and iVC Ltd. Over 8000 votes were cast and the Editor of InAVate, Dan Jago was delighted with the response.
