Digium Introduces New Technologies to Enhance Voice Quality and Compatibility

Expanded Product Line Includes New Telephony Interface Cards and High Performance Software Based Echo Canceller

HUNTSVILLE, AL and FT. LAUDERDALE, FL - (January 24, 2007) - Digium®, Inc., the Asterisk® company, today announced an expanded product line based on the patent -pending VoiceBus™ technology, a new chip architecture on all Digium boards that will enable compatibility for more systems. The new products include the TDM800P, an 8 -port analog telephony interface card, the TE120P a single span digital telephony interface card and Digium's High Performance Echo Canceller (HPEC).

First introduced on Digium's TDM2400P card, the VoiceBus technology enables unparalleled PCI compatibility with millions of servers and PC's worldwide. When used with Asterisk, the VoiceBus technology -based TDM2400P, TDM800P and TE120P users are provided with superior compatibility, quality and performance.

"Digium's VoiceBus technology enables the development of high performance PCI compatible telephony interface cards for a variety of applications," said Bill Miller, VP product management and marketing. "Moving forward, this architecture will be used across all Digium analog and digital telephony solutions."

The TDM800P is the first industry 8 -port analog telephony interface card built on a single PCI bracket - enabling universal PCI compatibility. Using the TDM800P, Digium's Asterisk software and a standard PC or server, users can create a cost -effective and scalable SMB, SME or SOHO telephony solution with all the features and quality of a traditional, high -end PBX platform.

Supporting both voice and data modes, the TE120P is a single span, selectable T1(24 -channel), E1(32 -channel), or J1(24 -channel) card that supports all the functionality of Digium's quad modules. The TE120P can reliably route voice and data simultaneously, eliminating the need for an external router. The TE120P delivers a wide range of PBX and IVR services including voicemail, call conferencing, three -way calling, and VoIP gateways.

The TDM800P can be used in conjunction with Digium's High Performance Echo Canceller (HPEC). Carrier -grade and software -based, the HPEC offers Toll -Quality echo cancellation on a global scale. The HPEC solution uses the industry standard algorithm, G.168, for connections to the PSTN and is designed to operate under 32 -bit and 64 -bit Linux platforms. The HPEC provides echo cancellation for configurable tail lengths of 16ms (128 taps), 32ms (256 taps), 64ms (512 taps) and 128ms (1024 taps), on a per channel basis.

Pricing & Availability
TDM800P pricing starts at $300 USD. The TE120P will be priced at $595 USD. Both products will be available in February.
