Electronic House Magazine Names Tripp Lite's HTRL15UPS A/V Digital UPS System 2006 Product of the Year

Chicago, IL (August 15, 2006) -Tripp Lite's new A/V -optimized Digital UPS System, the HTRL15UPS, has been named a 2006 Product of the Year by Electronic House magazine. Along with other winning products, the HTRL15UPS is being featured in the magazine's September 2006 issue. A formal award presentation ceremony will take place on September 16, 2006, during CEDIA EXPO 2006 in Denver, Colorado.

This year's competition attracted hundreds of product submissions, according to Electronic House Editor -in -Chief Cindy Davis. "The editors of EH Publishing's four magazines dedicated to the electronic house all choose their favorite products," she explained. "It's a very democratic process, and although it's fun, selecting the winners is one of our most difficult jobs. Our decisions are based on reviews we ran during the year, product demos, and feedback from installers and end users of the products. Our criteria include technological innovation, features, performance and overall value."

Featuring rackmount and tower installation options, 1500VA power capacity, automatic voltage regulation, a large blue LCD status screen, up to 300 minutes of battery backup time (recording only), and protection for AC, phone/DSL/Ethernet and 2.2 GHz coaxial connections, the HTRL15UPS Digital UPS System was recognized as the most capable, cost -effective power protection solution available for a wide range of A/V applications.

"We're extremely pleased that Electronic House has honored the HTRL15UPS with this award," said Tripp Lite Executive Vice President Jim Folk. "Our commitment to the audio/video sales channel is exemplified by Tripp Lite's expanding line of limited -distribution, professional -grade products, designed to provide A/V professionals and consumers with the best, most cost -effective power solutions for all applications."
