Advanced Media Introduces Solar Powered Battery Charger

Newest Addition to RIDATA Solar Power Line Up Charges AAA Batteries and USB Connectable To MP3 players

Diamond Bar, Calif. - - March 1, 2006 - -Advanced Media, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of the popular RIDATA brand of recordable CD and DVD media, electronic storage products, and digital media accessories, is adding a new solar powered battery charger to its popular RIDATA product line. Model S1000 charges AAA batteries and USB connectable MP3 players.

"Solar power is environmentally friendly, clean, renewable and free. Landfills are now beginning to restrict the disposal of many smaller electronic devices, including batteries, because of hazardous metals including mercury that could contaminate soil and groundwater. Solar power is one of the most important and environmentally significant additions to the electronic and battery accessory industries," said Harvey Liu, Advanced Media president. "Now battery -operated devices and batteries can be charged virtually anywhere without having to find a compatible electric outlet."

The RIDATA solar -powered charger is lightweight, durable, and waterproof. Each is as efficient as any current conventional charger. The company believes individuals who are concerned with energy costs as well as those who favor green energy will be attracted to its solar chargers. Additionally, the S1000 will find favor with travelers and campers, and its compact design will also draw mobile device users to it.

The S1000 solar -powered charger will also charge an MP3 player with USB connectivity. Typically, it will fully charge such items in direct sunlight in two and a half hours in direct sunlight. The charger has a solar power output of 0.5Wp; AAA battery output of 1.5V; 300mA and a USB Output of 5V; 200mA. It's dimensions are: 240mm x 90mm x 45mm with a total weight of 95grams.

One of the main benefits of solar power is the fact it is renewable, produces no air pollution, and requires no transportable fuels. Even on 60% cloudy days, there is still enough solar energy for these chargers to do their job in seven hours.

The RIDATA S1000 solar -powered battery charger is scheduled for release in late April 2006. As with most other RIDATA products, these new items will be available through selected retailers, RIDATA distributors, and at various online outlets.
