Matrix Audio Design In -Ceiling Speakers Free Users from Keypads

When Equipped with Optional SWT Speaker Module, Matrix Audio's C-Series Speakers Enable Users to Control Zones or Rooms via the Matrix Delta Controller and Delta Remote, Eliminating the Need for a Separate Keypad

LAS VEGAS - January 5, 2006 - Matrix Audio Designs, a manufacturer of high -fidelity audio distribution systems for homes and businesses, today announced at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show that it has incorporated its proprietary Speaker Wire Technology™ (SWT) into its new C -Series in -ceiling speakers, enabling the speakers to support an optional SWT Speaker Module. Equipped with the SWT Speaker Module, the new C -Series speakers enable the zone or room to be IR controlled with the new Matrix Delta controller or Delta remote, eliminating the need for wall -mounted keypads.

Designed from the ground up, the flagship C -Series product family of in -ceiling speakers is constructed using the highest quality components available to deliver exceptional acoustical performance. When equipped with the optional SWT Speaker Module, the C -Series speakers give installers the ability to install Matrix audio distribution systems in rooms or zones where the installation of a keypad is not an option.

The new Matrix Audio C -Series product family of in -ceiling speakers includes:
• C:6 - 6.5 -inch Speaker
• C:6DT - 6.5 -inch Speaker with Dual Tweeters
• C:8 - 8 -inch Speaker
• C:8DT - 8 -inch Speaker with Dual Tweeters

In addition to the 6 - and 8 -inch high -performance C:6 and C:8 speakers, Matrix Audio's C:6DT and C:8DT speakers incorporate dual voice coils and dual tweeters to provide stereo performance for single speaker applications in small applications such as bathrooms and hallways.

"With audio distribution systems becoming more affordable, we expect to see the integration of these systems moving increasingly into the mainstream consumer space," explained Jeff Wait, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Matrix Audio Designs. "As this happens, it will be increasingly important to provide solutions that can be adapted to a wide variety of environments. For instance, using the C -series speakers with the optional SWT speaker module, our distributed audio systems can be installed into a room surrounded with brick walls and the user would have full IR control of the system by simply point the IR controller at the speaker."

Available now through resellers nationwide, Matrix Audio Designs' C -Series Speakers are covered by a two year limited warranty.
