CHICAGO, IL - (Special to 2006 CES International) January 5, 2006 - - Peerless Industries, Inc., (South Hall 1 Booth #21544) the industry leader in audio/visual mounting solutions, has redesigned four of its Universal Flat Panel Wall Mounts for mid - and large -sized screens, making them the lightest and strongest flat panel mounts available in their class for consumer applications. These new mounts incorporate a simplified, attractive design for the home that is up to 40 percent lighter and 30 percent stronger than the leading competitor's, all with the same quality as the company's professional -grade flat panel mounts.

Part of Peerless' "Home Collection" retail line, these redesigned flat and tilting style mounts are for 23" -60" flat panel screens. They are perfect for a wide range of television viewing locations throughout the home, from the loft, living room or master bedroom, to behind the bar in a finished basement or above the fireplace in a family room.

"To meet the dramatic increase in flat panel use in the home and the growing number of consumers that are choosing to mount their own screens, we made some exciting changes to our product line," explained Michael Jasinski, associate product manager for Peerless Industries. "The new design for the tilt mounts replaces a solid steel frame with two lightweight, yet sturdy, tilting brackets that hook onto a wall plate, making installation easier and more intuitive for the consumer, while dramatically increasing the range of movement for the screen once it's on the wall." Jasinski added that Peerless has also focused on the screen compatibility range for the redesigned products to further ensure that the mount fits the most number of screens right out of the box.

The mid -sized Flat Panel Universal Flat and Tilt (RTFPF -220 and RTFPT -220) Wall Mounts accommodate 23" -46" LCD screens and offer 6" of side -to -side screen adjustment, while the large -sized Flat Panel Universal Flat and Tilt (RTFPF -320 and RTFPT2 -320) Wall Mounts are for 32" -60" Plasma and LCD screens and provide up to 12" of side -to -side screen adjustment. The flat mounts incorporate an extremely slim wall plate that holds the screen in a flat position against the wall for a clean appearance, whereas the tilt mounts offer one -touch adjustment for viewing flexibility without the use of additional tools.

Available in black and silver, all of the mounts are made from cold -rolled steel for rock -solid strength and a sleek, airy look that compliments today's flat panels. Additionally, the redesigned mounts come pre -assembled out of the box and include Peerless' Sorted -For -You™ fastener set with all the necessary screen attachment hardware to ensure compatibility with virtually any 23" -60" flat panel screen.

Pricing and Availability
The newly designed Universal Flat Panel Wall Mount line will be available in February 2006 at suggested retail prices ranging from $80 -$250 depending on the model. For more information about Peerless' wide range of mounting solutions, please call 1 -800 -865 -2112 or go to

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
