New High-Pressure, High-Output Models SW-500DC and SW-350DC. Ideal for Use in Audio Systems and Home Theaters
CEDIA 2005, INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 7, 2005 - Carver Digital™, a division of Phoenix Gold International, Inc., introduces the compact and powered SW -500DC and SW -350DC High -Pressure Subwoofers at the CEDIA Expo, beginning today in Indianapolis.
Carver Digital's new subwoofers are both high -pressure, high -output, front -firing powerhouses featuring a 12 -inch woofer in the SW -500DC, a 10 -inch woofer in the SW -350DC, and built -in tracking downconverter amplifiers in both. They're ideal for use in audio systems and home theaters, individually or in groups.
The high -pressure design allows the subs to deliver an unusually high level of low bass energy in a compact housing. The tracking downconverter amplifier lets the subs anticipate dramatic sound level changes and automatically adjust the amplification needed to improve the signal's dynamics. The fast response also helps any receiver that's connected to run more efficiently and generate less heat.
The SW -500DC delivers 500 watts RMS and features a frequency response of 18Hz - 260Hz, a 163mV input sensitivity for the rated power, and an input impedance of 10.8 kOhm. The amp's efficiency is greater than 83 percent. The SW -350DC delivers 350 watts RMS and features a frequency response of 20Hz - 180Hz, a 100mV input sensitivity, and an input impedance of 15 kOhm. The amp's efficiency is greater than 80 percent.
Both subwoofers feature an ergonomic design with a durable polyester resin finish, gold -plated RCA inputs and outputs, and fully controllable gain, crossover frequency, and phase controls. They also share an auto -on/off power setting, banana post speaker level inputs and pass -through outputs for two channels, aluminum cone isolation feet, and a removable IEC power cord.
Carver Digital's SW -500DC and SW -350DC subwoofers will be available in Spring 2005. They can be seen with other fine products from Phoenix Gold® in Booth 319, Indianapolis Convention Center, during CEDIA.
