FUJITSU DEBUTS ITS FIRST -EVER PLASMAVISION® HDTV SETS WITH BUILT -IN QAM TUNERS AND AVM -II PROCESSORS

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, September 9, 2005 - Fujitsu General America, an innovator and recognized leader in the plasma display market, today announced its premier line of Plasmavision® 50 -series digital cable -ready (DCR) HDTV plasma televisions for the fourth quarter of 2005. Fujitsu is exhibiting these products at CEDIA EXPO 2005, Booth 282, September 9 -11, 2005.


The introduction of the advanced 50 -series lineup is a major milestone for Fujitsu, reflecting the company's debut into the integrated plasma HDTV marketplace. The debut models, which feature QAM tuners, CableCARD slots, and external, side -mounted speakers, include the Plasmavision P42XTA51US 42 -inch plasma HDTV (MSRP: $5,999) and P50XTA50US 50 -inch plasma HDTV (MSRP: $7,999). Each new set is a complete high -definition DCR plasma TV, offering discriminating home theater enthusiasts the easiest and most efficient way to enjoy today's ultimate -quality video performance from all sources.

All Plasmavision 50 -series models will feature Fujitsu's acclaimed digital video processor, Advanced Video Movement -II (AVM -II), which is two and a half generations ahead of the competition. The AVM -II processor virtually eliminates motion artifacts and flicker, improves vertical resolution, and reproduces natural movement with ease. Furthermore, AVM -II processes digital content from any signal in the most optimal way.

The Plasmavision 50 -series continues Fujitsu's unrivalled leadership in flat -panel home entertainment, re -creating all the power and impact of the cinema at home - now with the benefits of integrated HDTV tuners.
