D -Tools and Crestron announce plans to link System Integrator and SystemBuilder™ software

Projects created in SystemBuilder will import into System Integrator in December 2005

CONCORD, CA, September 6, 2005 - D -Tools, the leader in system integration design software for the custom residential, commercial systems design and installation industries announced today that they have joined Crestron's award winning Integrated Partner program to link D -Tools System Integrator software with Crestron's award winning SystemBuilder™ 2.0 software. The proposed plan will allow dealers to use Crestron's SystemBuilder software to design, program and document their Crestron systems then export them into a new or existing System Integrator project with just a few mouse clicks.

"D -Tools System Integration software is a natural companion product for Crestron users to design, engineer, document, estimate, sell and manage custom systems," said Adam Stone, President. "We see this partnership as a benefit that enables our mutual dealers to be more responsive to their client's needs."

"D -Tools continues to be a strong partner in both the commercial and residential markets as they are the innovator in project management system design software." Says Chris Wildfoerster, Crestron's Director of Market Development, "This new interface saves our dealers time and money by exporting work done in Crestron's SystemBuilder directly into D -Tools."

The link between Crestron and D -Tools software will create many benefits for dealers using both systems. D -Tools System Integrator users will be able to import a SystemBuilder system into a new or existing D -Tools project with a couple of mouse clicks where the devices will automatically be dropped into the software. Crestron SystemBuilder users will be able to launch D -Tools System Integrator and create a new project from within the SystemBuilder application. Dealers will also be able to take advantage of existing data Crestron SystemBuilder users have already created. In addition, users of SystemBuilder will be able to take advantage of all the features of System Integrator including the reports which shows images of all devices in the system, connected Crestron devices and connection information in the schematic view.

One of the biggest advantages is that exporting SystemBuilder data into the D -Tools software package saves time. After a user exports the information to System Integrator, the data that is entered consists of all of the Crestron devices and their associated accessories. There will be no need for the dealer to enter the information twice.

ELK Products -C1M1 Dual-Path Alarm Communicators with Remote Services

C1M1 offers a truly significant reduction in transmission time in comparison to other communicators that rely on dial capture or data bus decoding. This can result in quicker response time to emergency situations which could save lives and assets. By providing both IP and cellular pathways, C1M1 provides the reliability installers are looking for in an alarm communicator. C1M1 eliminates port forwarding and extra fees for remote access. Installers can remotely upload/download programming changes to M1 controls over IP or cellular using ElkRP2. Consumers can control the M1 remotely via the free ElkLink mobile app and web portal, as well as eKeypad and M1 Touch Pro apps. Other IP-based software and interface partners can connect to the M1 control over the local network through C1M1. C1M1 also provides email/text notifications for arm, disarm, and alarm events. ELK-C1M14GSM supports GSM (AT&T/T-Mobile) networks and ELK-C1M1CDMA supports CDMA (Verizon) networks.
