muvee's Instant Personal Video Technology Enhances Nikon's PictureProject Digital Imaging Software

PictureProject powered by muvee lets Nikon users automatically transform videos and photos into stylish productions with synchronized music and effects

CeBIT - Hannover, Germany / Singapore (March 18, 2005) - muvee Technologies, the pioneer and leader in automatic video production, is proud to announce that a version of its award -winning[1] muvee autoProducer PC application will be incorporated into Nikon's updated PictureProject 1.5 digital media software, which is shipped globally with all of Nikon's digital cameras. This licensing deal will bring muvee's Instant Personal Video technology to over 7 million Nikon users worldwide starting from April this year.

Terence Swee, muvee's co -founder and Chief Opportunities Officer, said, "Digital cameras are increasingly able to shoot very decent quality video at low cost, and flash memory prices have also been tumbling. Consumers now have the means to shoot more videos and take more pictures than ever before, and often end up with a plethora of digital media that needs to be put together in a compelling way in order for it to be properly enjoyed and shared. muvee provides the answer by enabling users to automatically produce emotionally -engaging music videos - or muvees - quickly and easily. Integrating our technology into Nikon's PictureProject software brings Instant Personal Video to Nikon camera users globally, and we're excited at being able to empower more people to share their digital media in a fun and meaningful way."

muvee's PictureProject plug -in enables Nikon users to quickly and easily create compelling, stylized productions out of their digital videos and photos. Users simply select their media, add in one or more of their own music tracks if they choose, and pick a muvee production style. muvee's patented Artistic Intelligence™ editing engine then automatically analyzes the media to select key scenes and determine the tempo and Emotional Index™ - or mood and feel - of the music. Almost instantly, muvee then creates a polished production out of the footage highlights, with style -driven effects and transitions synchronized to the beat of the music. muvee's technology brings photos to life with panning and zooming effects, and users can personalize each production with their own title and credits. muvee productions made with PictureProject can be saved in MPEG -1 or WMV formats for computer playback or email. Every Nikon camera will include 3 muveeStyles in the muvee PictureProject module. Users can easily upgrade to the Nikon PictureProject DVD Show, which will then give them 21 additional muveeStyles, and also the ability to save and author their muvees to DVD.

Kazuyuki Kazami, General Manager, Marketing Department of Nikon Imaging Company said, "The digital camera market has been steadily growing and we recognize the need to constantly provide our customers with innovative new technologies that maximize their digital imaging experience. We've therefore positioned PictureProject as a gateway to introduce new services, and muvee is one of our most powerful partners in adding value for our customers. The process of making muvees is not only quick and simple, but the results are remarkable and of very high quality. What's more, PictureProject DVD Show now lets Nikon customers play their muvees on DVD players and enjoy them in full screen on the TV. Our ongoing commitment is to offer our customers the best digital media experience by introducing groundbreaking technologies in our software."
